Women, Leadership & Equality Program Annual Reception

The Women, Leadership & Equality Program (WLE) invited 22 years of Rose Zetzer Fellows, the Women's Leadership Circle and friends of the Program for an opportunity to reconnect, for fellowship and to celebrate women in the law. Managing Director Lisa Mebane will gave a special presentation on The Status of Women in the Legal Profession, and Professor Monopoli will also gave updates about her plans for the future.

National Trial Team Meet-and-Greet Hosted by the Trial Advocacy Leadership Council

The Trial Advocacy Leadership Council hosted an annual reception to discuss the future of the National Trial Team and to congratulate Salsbury Director, Ben Garmoe '16, on being named the 2026 Rising Star honoree! This was a chance to connect with fellow Trial Team alumni, contribute to a conversation about upcoming events and how to build more alumni involvement, and discuss how to grow the Trial Team’s footprint in the advocacy community.

Alumni Honors Banquet: A Celebration of Leadership

Every year, Maryland Carey Law recognizes alumni for their leadership, achievements, and impact on Maryland Carey Law and the legal profession. We celebrated our 2026 award recipients at the annual Alumni Honors Banquet. Ticket included admission to the event, a seated dinner and open bar, and networking with fellow Maryland Carey Law alumni, faculty and staff. The annual Alumni Honors Banquet is hosted by the Alumni Board.

Business Law Breakfast

The business law breakfast celebrated the 15th Anniversary of the Business Law Track at Maryland Carey Law! Over the past fifteen years, the Business Law Track has helped shape generations of business lawyers, thanks in large part to the strength and engagement of our alumni community. We reflected on the track’s growth, celebrated its impact, reconnected with Business Law Track graduates, and connected with fellow alumni in the business law community.

Golden Graduates Luncheon: Inducting the Class of 1976

Maryland Carey Law continued its tradition of celebrating our most experienced alumni – our Golden Graduates – with a special luncheon during Alumni Weekend. Alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago are among this distinguished group.

All class years preceding 1976 were also invited, as members of the Golden Graduates Society, in recognizing the Class of 1976 for their Golden 50-year Reunion Celebration. This event was only open to alumni who graduated 1976 or earlier.

Chacón Center and Immigration Law Alumni Reception
4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. | School of Law
Whether you practice or studied immigration law, provide pro bono services in the immigration space, or just want to catch up on the Chacón Center and support fellow Maryland Carey alumni in the immigration law space, all alumni were welcome to join for networking, connection and support. After the brief program, alumni were welcome to stay and network or keep the conversations going at the all-alumni happy hour.

From bellbottoms and fringe vests to skinny jeans and a going-out-top, we celebrated alumni while dressed from their law school "era"! All alumni were welcome home for a nostalgic happy hour to reunite with classmates and make new friends at this casual happy hour! Appetizers provided. Cash bar.

Pickleball Beginners Clinic & Open Play
10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. | URecFit - SMC Student Center 4th Floor
Ticket price: $25* **

Our first ever pickleball beginners clinic and open play! Experienced players, beginners, and everyone in between were welcome for a morning of fun, competition, and learning a new skill. All skill levels, including a beginners clinic took place where new players could learn how to play the fastest growing sport in America. All ticket holders had full access to the URecFit locker room and showers (towels are available, please bring your own lock). This event was open to alumni and guests 18 years of age and over.

Alumni and Family Picnic
12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. | Maryland Carey Law, Courtyard

A celebration of Alumni Weekend with family and friends. Guests enjoyed complimentary barbeque food, beer, wine and soft drinks. Cornhole, face painting, lawn games, and other kids activities were available to enjoy.

Alumni celebrated milestone reunions with fellow alumni during our Saturday evening networking reception, followed by dinner.

In 2026, we are celebrated milestone reunions for the classes of 1976, 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001, 2006, 2011, 2016, and 2021. The Reunion Class Dinner included an open bar cocktail reception, followed by a seated dinner, and ends with a dessert reception complete with an open bar, coffee and a special alumni weekend gift.

Each class also took a class photo!
