During Alumni Weekend 2025, we will also celebrate milestone reunions for class years ending in 0s and 5s. To make your reunion celebration the best it can be, we need your help to spread the word and to get your classmates excited. Join your class's reunion committee by completing this form.

Women, Leadership & Equality Program: Celebrating 20 Years of the Rose Zetzer Fellowship Reception

4 :00 - 5:30 p.m. | Krongard Boardroom

Alumni and friends of the Women, Leadership & Equality (WLE) Program are invited to attend a special reception celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Rose Zetzer Fellowship and its inaugural 2004 class. Named in honor of the first woman to gain admission to the Maryland State Bar Association, the fellowship is open to law students demonstrating an intellectual interest in gender equality in the legal profession. The fellowship's seminar and applied workshop give students the opportunity to research and address the structural barriers to women's advancement in law. Following the reception, attendees who have registered for the Alumni Honors Banquet are invited to Westminster Hall for the alumni awards program.

Alumni Honors Banquet: A Celebration of Leadership

Every year, Maryland Carey Law recognizes alumni for their leadership, achievements, and impact on Maryland Carey Law and the legal profession. Celebrate our 2024 award recipients at the annual Alumni Honors Banquet. Your ticket includes admission to the event, a seated dinner and open bar, and networking with fellow Maryland Carey Law alumni, faculty and staff.

Ticket Price: $80 per ticket

Golden Graduates Luncheon: Inducting the Class of 1974

11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. | Westminster Hall

Maryland Carey Law continues its tradition of celebrating our most experienced alumni – our Golden Graduates – during a special luncheon during Alumni Weekend. Alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago are among this distinguished group.

Enjoy opportunities to reconnect throughout Alumni Weekend as we welcome all class years preceding 1974 to join us in recognizing the Class of 1974 for their Golden Reunion Celebration. This event is only open to alumni who graduated 1974 or earlier.

 

Law School Building Tour

1:30 - 2:30 p.m. | Maryland Carey Law School

Enjoy a student-led tour of the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. The building opened in 2002 and features state-of-the-art classrooms, courtrooms, clinical offices, and the Thurgood Marshall Law Library.

 

Faculty Insights: A Discussion with Professors

2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. | Krongard Boardroom

Alumni Weekend is not only a great opportunity to reconnect with classmates, but with your former professors as well! Join us for an intellectual discussion with some of our distinguished faculty. Topic coming soon.

 

200th Anniversary Celebration

5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. | M&T Bank Exchange (located one block from the law school)

Maryland Carey Law is celebrating its 200-Year Anniversary in 2024. Join our entire community for this signature event at the new M&T Bank Exchange, located at 401 W. Fayette Street, one block from the law school. Attendees will enjoy an engaging experience with an uplifting program as we celebrate the impact of our law school.

Start your Saturday morning with coffee and a continental breakfast with the opportunity to meet or catch up with Maryland Carey Law faculty, staff and alumni.

 

Alumni and Family Picnic

12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. | Maryland Carey Law, Courtyard

Celebrate Alumni Weekend with your family and friends during our Alumni and Family Picnic. Guests will enjoy complimentary barbeque inspired food, beer, wine and soft drinks. Cornhole, face painting, balloon animals, lawn games, and other kids activities will be available to enjoy.

 

Law School Building Tour

12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. | Maryland Carey Law

Enjoy a student-led tour of the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. The building opened in 2002 and features state-of-the-art classrooms, courtrooms, clinical offices, and the Thurgood Marshall Law Library. Tours will depart every 15-30 minutes during this 2-hour time block.

 

Reunion Celebration: Cocktail & Networking Reception and Reunion Class Dinners

5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. | Cocktail & Networking Reception | Westminster Hall

6 :30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. | Reunion Class Dinners | Maryland Carey Law, Various Locations

Enjoy reconnecting with fellow alumni during our Saturday evening networking reception, followed by dinner with your classmates to celebrate your milestone reunion. The Cocktail & Networking Reception includes heavy hors d'oeuvres and an open bar. All alumni are invited to the Cocktail & Networking reception.

The evening culminates with celebrating those alumni who have reached a milestone reunion since graduating from law school! This year, we are celebrating milestone reunions for the classes of 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, 2004, 2009, 2014, and 2019. The Reunion Class Dinner includes a seated dinner, dessert, open bar, and a special alumni weekend gift.

Ticket Price:

-$120($100 for the Classes of 2014 and 2019) from March 1 through April 1, 2024

Alumni who are not celebrating a milestone reunion this year are invited to join us for the Cocktail & Networking Reception. Tickets for the Cocktail & Networking Reception ONLY are $35 per person.

Orioles Game with Maryland Carey Law

Join fellow alumni and friends to cheer on the Baltimore Orioles as they take on the Milwaukee Brewers! Your ticket gets you access to the All-Inclusive Picnic Perch. Enjoy the all-you-can-eat menu through the middle of the 7th inning: shelled peanuts, fresh popcorn, BYO nacho bar, garden salad, jumbo Camden frank, pulled pork BBQ, fresh fruit, frozen treats, and assorted fountain soft drinks and water.
