National Trial Team

Course Description

The National Trial Team class is a two-semester course offering available only to members of the Maryland Carey Law National Trial Team. Members of the team learn advanced litigation skills, techniques and strategies from alumni coaches and the Salsbury Director of Trial Advocacy. Students also compete in regional and national advocacy competitions sponsored by the Texas Young Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, and various law schools. Students earn two credits each semester for participating in the weekly two-hour class. While tryouts for the Trial Team take place during the fall of 1L/2E year, transfer students are eligible to try out for the team in August of their 2L or 3E year. This course is graded on a Credit/No Credit basis.
