Karen Robbins practices exclusively in the area of family law in Maryland. Her main office is in Frederick County, and she also practices in Montgomery County.  She serves as a facilitator, mediator, parenting coordinator and best interest attorney for the Circuit Courts for Montgomery and Frederick Counties in Maryland.  Karen helps clients resolve their issues by working with them to clarify their interests and goals so they can utilize the dispute resolution process that best meets their needs. 

Karen is a founding member of the Collaborative Practice Training Institute (CPTI), the Maryland Collaborative Practice Council (MCPC), and Collaborative Dispute Resolution Professionals, Inc. As part of the CPTI, Karen has lead trainings in collaborative practice offered by the Administrative Office of the Courts and the Maryland State Bar Association.

Karen is also an active member of the American Bar Association's Family Law Section and its military law subcommittee.  She has presented for the American Bar Association Family Law Section and the Frederick County Bar Association on the topic of custody issues and the military.  She has also presented on advanced trial techniques for the Bar Association of Montgomery County, Maryland and the Bar Association of Frederick County, Maryland.

After graduating from the University of Miami School of Law, Magna Cum Laude, and serving as an associate editor of its Law Review, Karen clerked for the Honorable Natalie Baskin of the Florida Third District Court of Appeals.  She is admitted to practice in Maryland, Florida and the District of Columbia.
