Melanie K. Snyder is a professor of law and the program coordinator of the Legal Studies Program at Stevenson University, where she has been a full-time faculty member since 2002. She teaches a variety of courses, including Legal Research and Writing I and II; Problems in Litigation; Rules of Evidence; Civil Litigation and Pleading; Mock Trial; and Contracts. Professor Snyder also serves as a mock trial coach and the pre-law advisor at Stevenson. Prior to teaching, she clerked for the Hon. John C. Eldridge on the Maryland Court of Appeals; worked as a litigator and employment law attorney with Lerch, Early & Brewer, LLC, in Bethesda, Md.; and worked in the Litigation Division of the Baltimore City Attorney General's Office. She earned her BA from Miami University of Ohio and her JD, magna cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where she was the managing editor for the University of Baltimore Law Review. She is a member of the Maryland and District of Columbia bars.
