Anthony May is an attorney with the Baltimore based law firm of Brown, Goldstein & Levy, LLP. Anthony has a diverse practice comprised of various complex litigation and appellate matters in areas ranging from employment, wrongful conviction, commercial litigation, criminal defense, and civil rights. He has represented clients in several appellate matters, including in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and Maryland appellate courts.
Anthony is the former president of the MVLS Community Action Network (MVLS CAN), a board member of the Francis D. Murnaghan, Jr. Appellate Advocacy Fellowship, a member of the LGBTQ Maryland Bar Association, and a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
After graduating from the University of Maryland School of Law in 2015, Anthony clerked for The Honorable Deborah Sweet Eyler of the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. From 2016-2017, Anthony served as the Francis D. Murnaghan, Jr., Appellate Advocacy Fellow at the Public Justice Center, where he represented indigent clients in a variety of anti-poverty and civil rights matters.
While in law school, Anthony served as the Co-Executive Symposium Editor for the Journal of Race, Religion, Gender and Class, as well as a legal writing fellow, peer advisor, and was a semi-finalist in the ABA Labor & Employment Law annual trial advocacy competition.
