Special Topics in Comparative Constitutional Democracy

Course Description

This seminar explores the state of constitutional democracy from both comparative and global perspectives. The seminar brings together internationally recognized scholars with Maryland, University of Milan and Reichman University faculty and students to discuss and engage with contemporary issues regarding the state of constitutional democracy throughout the world. The course includes an academic workshop, a public lecture series and a series of seminars by invited experts. Students are expected to prepare brief written observations in advance of the different sessions and participate actively in discussions. A final reflective essay is required.

Second year, third year and LL.M. students who are interested in this intensive course should request an application from Professor Peter Danchin or Shyala Rumsey. The applications are due February 7.
