Financial and Accounting Basics for Lawyers

Course Description

This course provides introductory concepts in finance and accounting. It is intended for students who have no prior knowledge or experience in finance or acocunting. Topics of coverage include basic concepts in accounting, financial statement analysis, time value of money, risk versus return, valuation, and financial instruments, including derivatives. Emphasis will be placed on legal application of these business concepts. This course may be useful preparation for practicing in a wide range of practice areas. Credit/No Credit only. No cert or Cardin.
