Lucy Martin '21, is a staff attorney dedicated to human rights, freedom of movement, access to justice, and the equitable treatment of all people. Her practice has focused on representing asylum seekers, children, survivors of trafficking, and survivors of gender-based violence, as well as advocating for the rights and freedom of people experiencing detention. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Wales and her JD from Maryland Carey Law and has been working in immigration non-profits since graduation.
Martin grew up partly in the UK and partly in Maryland, and loves music, art, languages, food, and traveling with her family to her husband’s native Honduras. She spends a lot of her personal time learning about support and joy in neurodivergent communities with her daughter and loves to chat with anyone who is interested in any of these things and more.
