Megan Sunderland is a senior estate planning attorney at Knollwood Investment Advisory,

LLC, where she advises clients on various legal matters, including those involving trusts, estates, real estate, legal entities, taxation, and regulatory compliance. Before joining Knollwood, she practiced trusts and estates law, advising primarily high-net worth clients, as an associate attorney at the Baltimore offices of DLA Piper LLP (US), Venable LLP, and Gordon Feinblatt LLC.

 

Professor Sunderland received her JD from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law (2020) and her BA, magna cum laude, from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas (2016). While in law school, she served as a research assistant and was a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) team. She completed a judicial internship with the Honorable Nancy M. Purpura and a judicial externship with the Honorable Alexander Wright, Jr. Upon graduation, she returned to Judge Purpura’s chambers for a judicial clerkship.
