Christina Beharry is a partner in the International Litigation and Arbitration Department of Foley Hoag LLP in Washington, D.C. Her practice focuses on public international law, investor-State and commercial arbitration, and trade and investment policy. She has represented clients across the globe in disputes involving various industries including aviation, mining, oil and gas, real estate, renewable energy, chemical manufacturing, postal services, agriculture, forestry, healthcare, telecommunications, and tobacco. In addition, Professor Beharry publishes regularly on international arbitration and has edited a book titled Contemporary and Emerging Issues on the Law of Damages and Valuation in International Investment Arbitration (Brill Nijhoff, 2018). Prior to joining the firm, she practiced in the Trade Law Bureau of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (now, Global Affairs Canada) where she represented the Canadian Government in investment disputes brought under NAFTA Chapter 11 and assisted in the negotiation of bilateral investment treaties. She holds law degrees from the London School of Economics, Cambridge University, and Columbia University.
