Elise Desiderio is an attorney in the Appellate Division of the Maryland Office of the Public Defender. She represents clients in a range of criminal appellate litigation, including direct appeals and appeals of decisions by post-conviction courts. Before joining the Appellate Division, they represented petitioners in post-conviction litigation in the Post Conviction Division of the Office of the Public Defender.
She served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Shannon Avery of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. Elise is an honors graduate of the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, from which they received the William P. Cunningham Award and Law Litigation and Advocacy Award.
