Francisco Flores ’21 joined the Chacón Center for Immigrant Justice as program director in June 2026. He earned his BS in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland University College and his JD from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, where he received the Public Service Award.
Flores has worked in immigration law since 2013 and previously served as a senior attorney at the Amica Center for Immigrant Rights, where he led a team representing unaccompanied immigrant children and advocated for clients before the immigration courts, Board of Immigration Appeals, and state courts in Maryland and Virginia. He is passionate about expanding access to justice through mentorship, community engagement, and providing compassionate, high-quality legal representation.
Outside of work, Flores enjoys his hobby of 3D modeling/printing, exploring new technology, movies, and spending time with his two dachshunds, Pegasus ("Peggy") and Poseidon ("Psy").
