Bio

Katie Feeley is a Tobacco Legal Fellow at the Legal Resource Center for Public Health Policy. She earned her J.D. degree from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law and a Health Law Certificate. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the University of South Carolina. 

In her current role, Katie provides legal technical assistance, attends coalition meetings, presents on tobacco policy issues, and provides updates to local and state health entities regarding tobacco policy developments in Maryland. Her work also includes researching law and policy solutions to tobacco-related public health issues in Maryland. Through her work as a student and recent graduate, Katie has gained substantial experience in legal epidemiology, which has shaped her understanding of how law and policy can serve as both a barrier and a solution to important public health challenges.
