Victoria Jung

Bio

Victoria Jung is a member of the Class of 2027 at the University of Maryland, Francis King Carey School of Law. Born and raised in Queens, NY, she graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with University Honors, obtaining a B.S. in Decision Science and a minor in Politics & Public Policy. Before coming to law school, she was a legislative intern for the office of Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), where she gained experience in the legal and policy field, deepening her interest in the law. Victoria is eager to integrate her background in data science and policy with her legal education to provide a unique and diverse perspective to the legal field.

Victoria demonstrates exceptional leadership as the President-elect for the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association (APALSA). She has been actively involved in community leadership both at Carey Law and in the broader legal community as a 1L Representative for APALSA, member of the Business Law Society, student liaison for the American Pacific American Bar Association Educational Fund (AEF-DC), and the Director of the Northeast Region for the National Asian Pacific American Law Student Association (NAPALSA).

For her upcoming summer, Victoria will be a judicial intern for the Honorable Adam B. Abelson at the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. She looks forward to further strengthening her legal research and writing and using this experience to help inform her future endeavors in the legal field.

In alignment with her academic and professional background, Victoria's interests are currently leaning towards the transactional and regulatory aspects of business law. As a first-generation law student, she is open to exploring the varying sectors of business law and taking advantage of the opportunities available to help her pursue a career at the intersection of business and the law.

Outside of her legal studies, Victoria enjoys learning open-style choreography pieces and exploring new restaurants in the DMV-area.
