Jose (Leo) Gomez-Ballesteros

Bio

Jose (Leo) Gomez-Ballesteros earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Industrial de Santander in Colombia. In 2017, Leo graduated from Texas A&M University with a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering. His research work focused on studying the structure and properties of nanomaterials used in catalysis and energy storage applications. After grad school, Leo worked at software company training and helping clients solve problems with time-series data. He currently attends the University of Maryland School of Law, where he serves as vice president for the Maryland Intellectual Property Student Association, and as secretary for the Latinx Law Student Association. Leo spent his 1L summer working at Knobbe Martens.
