Cameron Chiani

Bio

My name is Cameron Chiani, and I have a general interest in business and corporate law. I graduated from Duquesne University in the Spring of 2020 with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in History. Over the years, I have been fortunate enough to intern for a law firm, with an international telecommunications company, and with the Pennsylvania state judiciary. I first interned at Gemondo & McQuiggan, LLP, a mid-sized oil & gas law firm, where I performed advanced duediligence research for the firm's clients. Then, I had to the opportunity to intern for Inmarsat Telecommunications, PLC, where I worked with in-house counsel on a project for the D.C. Bar, and attended committee hearings on Capitol Hill and at the FCC. Most recently, I had the privilege to intern for the Honorable President Judge Dominick Motto at the Lawrence County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. I worked alongside the judge by completing legal research and writing legal memoranda as it pertained to upcoming civil and criminal hearings and trials.

My areas of interest include Corporate Compliance, Intellectual Property, Cybersecurity & Data Privacy, and Securities Regulation. The Business Law Track has already provided me with numerous professional opportunities, and I believe its curriculum will allow me to receive a breadth of knowledge in these various subjects, preparing me to properly represent my clients as a practicing attorney.

Lastly, I am a member of the school's Business Law Society, Cyber Law & Data Privacy Association, International Law Society, and a Staff Editor for the Journal of Business and Technology Law.
