The close of the 2024-25 school year means we welcome another cohort of Intellectual Property Law Track graduates to the legal profession, and this year’s graduates are particularly impressive. These graduates have developed a strong foundation in patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, key areas that protect innovation from concept to commercialization. Through a carefully tailored curriculum and hands-on experiences in clinics and externships, they have engaged with legal challenges and the opportunity to work directly with clients in our Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship ClinicTheir time in the program has prepared them to be thoughtful, strategic, and effective advocates in intellectual property law. We are excited to see how they will contribute to shaping the future of innovation and creativity.

The IP Law Track graduated eleven students this year:

Barbara M. Key
Simon R. Graf
LaQuan Bates
Samiah M. Bansal
Chikezie Agoucha
Min Ji Suh
Katherine Sylva
Annette Hallberg
Brian P. Murry
Lucas Patrick Firlie
Mia Lauren Juliano

Each graduate distinguished themselves while in law school by displaying their mastery of intellectual property law with a broad professional foundation, including the legal, practical, and ethical capacity to advise their fortunate future clients. Whether it was through Clinic work, competitions, or fellowships, these graduates utilized the many available opportunities available to them to enhance their legal education.

We are overwhelmingly excited to see our Track students’ placements at wonderful organizations like the US Department of Defense, Merchant and Gould, Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, and Willkie Farr & Gallagher.

Heather Terech, Managing Director of the Intellectual Property Program, noted, “These students have not only studied the law, they’ve practiced it through clinics, externships, and casework. They’re entering the field prepared, confident, and driven. I expect great things from this crop of new students!"

We hope you’ll join us in wishing the best to our 2024-25 graduates!
