Law and Identity Seminar
Course Description
This seminar explores the relationship between law and legal identities – national, racial, religious, gender, and sexual. It considers how law constructs legal identities; how government takes an active role in shaping, empowering or disciplining a person’s identity; and how the cultural understandings of identity influence the development of law.
