Frank Turney has been a solo practitioner for over 30 years in the areas of consumer bankruptcy, criminal defense, personal injury and aviation law. He has tried cases, both bench and jury, throughout Maryland and continues to represent clients. Professor Turney has supported the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service with pro bono work for over 20 years and is the recipient of multiple awards for his service. He teaches in the Aviation program at Capitol Technology University in Laurel, Md. He holds an FAA commercial pilot’s license and is a certified flight instructor and ground instructor. When not representing clients or teaching, he is flying to see his four kids or walking his two dogs with his wife of 32 years, Maureen. He holds a JD from the University of Baltimore School of Law and a BA from Loyola University in Maryland. He is of Colombian descent and speaks fluent Spanish.
