Teresa Schmiedeler is senior managing director of public service and externships at Maryland Carey Law. She administers Maryland Carey Law's externship program, advises students pursuing public service careers, and teaches the Public Interest Externship Workshop. Prior to her position at the law school, she worked as a public interest career counselor at a DC-area law school and practiced law as a Legal Aid attorney in Connecticut and Missouri. She is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, Access to Justice, Public Interest Committee, AALS Externship Committee, and NALP Public Service Committee, and serves as faculty advisor to the Maryland Public Interest Law Project (MPILP), a law student led not-for-profit organization at Maryland Carey Law.
