As the Managing Director of the Business Law/ Intellectual Property Programs, Mrs. Terech supervises the Business Law/Intellectual Property Externship Programs and instructs the Externship Workshops. She advises students pursuing the certificate of concentration in Business Law or Intellectual Property Law. In addition, she acts as an advisor to related student organizations.

A 2001 graduate from California Western School of Law, Mrs. Terech comes to the University of Maryland Francis Carey Law with over twenty years of criminal defense litigation experience. Working as a public defender specializing in juvenile defense, Mrs. Terech has decades of courtroom experience coupled with client-centered advocacy in all types of criminal matters. She served as a certified trainer for the Juvenile Training Immersion Program through the National Juvenile Defender Center, including as a faculty member that developed and administered the first statewide specialized training for Maryland juvenile defenders. Her prior teaching experience includes serving as a teaching assistant in Administration of Justice and Peer Counselor courses at Pennsylvania State University. In addition, she serves the community through various volunteer committees and organization boards.
