The Latino/a Law Student Association (LLSA) celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with the law school’s first Latino/a Fest, Wednesday, October 6, 4:30 – 6:30 in the Ceremonial Courtroom and Westminster Hall.
Dean Phoebe Haddon launches the event with the presentation of the LLSA Impact Award to Eduardo Diaz, JD, director of the Smithsonian Latino Center, for his demonstrated dedication to increase and enhance Latino presence, research and scholarship. Mr. Diaz will share his perspective on the significance of Hispanic Heritage Month after the award presentation.
A tasting tour of Baltimore’s Latino restaurants follows immediately, when LLSA brings such local Latino restaurants as Max’s Empanadas, El Taquito, Eunice’s, El Tesoro and others to Westminster Hall.

Where: Awards Ceremony & Remarks, 4:30 in the Atrium; Latino Cultural Celebration & Food Fest, 5 pm in Westminster Hall
Admission: $10 for the Cultural Celebration & Food Fest, at the door or in advance.
