Professor Holland Wins Pro Bono Service Award

Visiting Law School Assistant Professor Peter Holland received the 2012 Maryland Pro Bono Service Award from the Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland.  The award was presented June 16 at the Maryland State Bar Association’s (MSBA) annual meeting in Ocean City, Maryland.

“Your contribution has truly been exemplary and we are thrilled to recognize your service publicly,” said Sharon E. Goldsmith, Esq., executive director of the Resource Center, which is a partnership with MSBA.

Professor Holland, a UM Carey alumnus, specializes in consumer law, including consumer rights cases involving auto dealer fraud, wrongful repossessions, mortgage fraud, predatory lending and foreclosure scams.  He is a recipient of the UM Carey Law Public Service Award and was voted by his peers to be a “Maryland Super Lawyer” in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
