On Wednesday, October 19 from 6-8 p.m., the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service (MVLS), the University of Maryland Carey School of Law along with the Maryland Public Interest Law Project will celebrate pro bono.
The keynote speaker for this celebratory event will be the Honorable Anthony G. Brown, Lieutenant Governor of Maryland.
This celebration will coincide with the third annual National Celebrate Pro Bono Week, established by the American Bar Association in 2009. The event will honor volunteer attorneys, law students, donors and friends who have changed the lives of low-income Marylanders through pro bono legal representation.
