
Prof. Peter Holland, visiting law school assistant professor, was recently honored by the Maryland Association for Justice (formerly known as the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association) with its Simon K. Walton Civil Justice Award. He was presented with this honor at the Association’s 58th Annual President’s Dinner, which was held on May 13, 2011, at The Engineer’s Club of Baltimore.
Prof. Holland received this honor in recognition of his legal work in representing consumers in debt collection and foreclosure cases.
The Simon K. Walton Civil Justice Award is given to an organization or person who was injured and/or acted on behalf of injured consumers. The recipients, through their work, demonstrated a compassion and commitment to keeping Maryland families safe through advocacy on behalf of Maryland consumers, and/or on behalf of those seeking to advance or preserve access to the courts.
