Prof. Greenberger to Speak at MARCE Conference Feb. 28

Michael Greenberger will discuss the legality of vaccination at the 2011
Middle Atlantic Regional Center of Excellence for Biodefense and Emerging Infectious Diseases (MARCE) conference on February 28, 2011. Prof. Greenberger will also give opening remarks.
The conference is hosted by the University of Maryland
Center for Health and Homeland Security (CHHS), of which Prof. Greenberger is founder and director. Close to 50 graduates of the School of Law currently work at CHHS.
This year, the MARCE conference will focus on the legal, ethical and policy challenges of vaccination, particularly during public health emergencies and eradication efforts. The conference will feature multiple, diverse panels of public health responders and experts, including a keynote address by Joshua Sharfstein, MD, secretary of the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and former Principal Deputy Commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and Baltimore City Health Commission.
