A pioneer in health care law, the
Law & Health Care Program at the University of Maryland School of Law has remained at the forefront of the field, addressing timely and difficult issues such as expanding health insurance to uncovered populations, physician-assisted suicide, the use of genetic information, and racial and ethnic disparities in health care. With one of the most extensive health law curricula in the country, many papers produced from the Law & Health Care Program's in-depth
conferences on emerging health law issues are published in the
Journal of Health Care Law & Policy, and other
publications within the program.
