Gov. Ehrlich to Discuss Executive Clemency in Maryland
In 2005, Maryland Law students and faculty won freedom for Walter Arvinger, wrongfully convicted of murder and in prison for more than 36 years, when Governor Robert Ehrlich commuted Mr. Arvinger's sentence and released him.
On Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 4:20 p.m., Governor Ehrlich will visit Prof. Michael Millemann’s Legal Systems and Their Social Context class to discuss his decision in the Arvinger case and its role in re-invigorating executive clemency in Maryland.
To RSVP, call Matthew Mullins-Hall at (410) 706-3916.
