See Pictures From the School of Law's 2007 Hooding Ceremony!
More than 250 graduates assembled on May 19 for the School of Law's Hooding Ceremony. Previously held at the Lyric Opera House, this year's ceremony was held one block away from the school in the historic Hippodrome Theatre. Taking advantage of the theatre's close proximity to the school, portions of Fayette and Eutaw Streets were closed to traffic to allow graduates and faculty to march in procession from Westminster Hall to the theatre.
Bryan Stevenson, the Executive Director of Equal Justice Initiative of Alabama and Professor of Clinical Law at NYU School of Law, was the keynote speaker. Graduates received their hoods in front of over 1200 family and friends, then returned to the law school for a light lunch.
