School of Law to Host Fourth Annual Public Interest Retreat on March 3
On Saturday, March 3, 2007, The Baltimore/DC Public Interest Law Student Council will host its Fourth Annual Public Interest Retreat at the University of Maryland School of Law from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The retreat enables students to build practical lawyering skills to employ in professional or clinical settings, learn about and evaluate a range of public interest careers, discuss current hot topics/areas, and enhance career development strategies, and forge alliances and work cooperatively with like-minded students from local schools. Students are also allowed to explore career opportunities and network with their peers.
The Baltimore/DC Public Interest Student Council brings area students together to collaborate on projects, serve the community, and encourage students to consider public interest careers. The council is composed of students and faculty from American University, Catholic University, George Mason University, George Washington University, Georgetown University, Howard University, the University of Baltimore, University of the District of Columbia, and the University of Maryland School of Law.
To register, students should send their name, year, school, email, and phone number to Justin Browne email@example.com or Dorcas Gilmore firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Fourth Annual Public Interest Retreat is supported by the University of Maryland School of Law’s Career Development Office, the Clinical Law Program, and the Maryland Public Interest Law Program, Inc.
