Law School Community and Graduates Invited to Feb. 23 Presentation by Negotiation Expert Ron Shapiro
School of Law students, faculty, and graduates are invited to a free educational session with Ron Shapiro, a negotiations expert, attorney, sports agent, civic leaders and former University of Maryland School of Law adjunct faculty member, on Friday, Feb. 23 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Entitled "The Power of Nice: How to Negotiate So Everyone Wins – Especially You!" the session will emphasize negotiation skill-building and an approach to establishing better relationships. Combining lecture and interactive "Win-Win" negotiation exercises, Mr. Shapiro will teach the "3P's:" prepare; probe; propose.

by Monday, Feb. 19. Attendees will be asked to prepare for the program by completing a questionnaire that they will receive via email after registering.
Mr. Shapiro is one of the nation's leading experts on the subject of negotiation and is the founder and chairman of Shapiro Negotiations Institute. Instrumental in negotiating over one billion dollars in contracts, he was named one of the "100 most powerful people in sports" by The Sporting News
