School of Law to Mark Constitution Day with September 18 Debate on Judicial Independence
On Monday, September 18, Professors
Mark Graber and
Michael Meyerson will discuss the issues surrounding judicial independence in the Constitution Day Program "A Conversation About Judicial Independence."
Professor Graber is a nationally-recognized expert in constitutional law, teaching courses at both the University of Maryland School of Law and in political science at the University of Maryland College Park. He is the author of the recently published book
Dred Scott and the Problem of Constitutional Evil.Professor Meyerson, a visiting professor at the George Washington University School of Law, has published numerous articles on constitution law and contracts law.
The program will begin at 12 p.m. in Room 108, and pizza and sodas will be available.
