Professor Power Named Baltimore City Historical Society's 2014 Historian Scholar

Professor Emeritus Garrett Power was honored by the Baltimore City Historical Society as its 2014 Historian Scholar “in recognition of his contributions to Baltimore’s rich and diverse history.” Power’s writings includes:

Power has chronicled and studied Maryland and Baltimore history for more than 40 years, concentrating on issues such as public land and water use and urban development. In addition to his legal interest in history, Power is also president of Westminster Preservation Trust, directing the stewardship of historic Westminster Hall Burying Ground & Catacombs (the site of Edgar Allan Poe’s Grave).
