Eight UM Carey Law Alumnae Make the Daily Record’s Top 100 Women List

The Daily Record has named eight UM Carey Law alumnae to its Top 100 Women List, an annual award that highlights Maryland’s most accomplished women.

The UM Carey Law alumni named to the list are:

Angela Alsobrooks ’96
State’s Attorney, Prince George’s County

The Hon. Alison Asti ’79
Associate Judge, Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County

Caroline Ciraolo ‘93
Partner, Rosenberg Martin Greenberg LLP

Debora Fajer-Smith ’84
Attorney, Joseph, Greenwald & Laake, P.A.

Natalie Magdeburger ’87
Attoney, Pessin Katz Law, P.A.

Amy McClain '02
Partner, Ballard Spahr LLP

Kaliope Parthemos ’00
Deputy Chief, Economic Development, Baltimore City Office of the Mayor

The Hon. Julie Rubin ’98
Associate Judge, Baltimore City Circuit Court

In addition, The Hon. Alison Asti and Caroline Ciraolo will be inducted into the publication’s Circle of Excellence, an honor reserved for those who have been named to the list at least three times.

“We are extremely proud of our alumnae included in this list, not only for the professional achievements, but also for their role in advancing gender equality in the state of Maryland,” said Dean Phoebe Haddon. “These women represent the values of UM Carey Law and the leadership qualities we strive to teach to the next generation of legal professionals.”

“The honorees are women who excel at their jobs. They are keenly devoted to bettering the communities where they live and work,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, publisher of the Daily Record, in an announcement. “They devote their time, their talents and their mentoring skills to improving Maryland’s businesses, its residents, its communities and its future woman leaders.”

All of the awardees will be honored during an awards celebration May 5
