A former law clerk to Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall, Cashin served in the Clinton White House as an advisor on urban and economic policy. She writes about race relations, government and inequality in America.

Copies of her new book, The Failures of Integration: How Race and Class are undermining the American Dream will be available for purchase at the reception.
