Maryland Carey Law is seeking applicants for two full-tuition scholarships that are available to academically talented students enrolling in the law school.
The Osborne Scholarship is for a full-time student, with at least two years of full-time professional experience, who wants to pursue a career in private legal practice or business, broadly defined.
The Samuel and Anne Hopkins Scholarship is for a full-time day or part-time evening student with a history of achievement and evidence of strong academic promise.
Both scholarships will be awarded for the students’ entire enrollment and have no minimum GPA requirements to be maintained.
“We are delighted to be able to offer these scholarships to prospective students and we are extremely grateful to the members of the Osborne and Hopkins families who have made them possible,” said Donald Tobin, dean of Maryland Carey Law. In addition to tuition and fees, scholarship winners will receive leadership training and opportunities to meet and network with prominent alumni and friends of the law school, he added.
The application process for both scholarships will be highly competitive. Candidates will be required to complete a separate scholarship application, submit additional letters of recommendation and participate in an interview, in person or by telephone. The application deadline for both scholarships is March 15.
