Katlyn SloughClass of 2023Rowan University firstname.lastname@example.org Katlyn Slough is a JD candidate attending the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. She is currently enrolled on both the business law track and the intellectual property law track, with the hope of pursuing a career in one of these two areas. During her first year summer, she worked with the American Bar Association’s Commission on Law and Aging, researching and writing about issues in health care and elder abuse. She also worked with the Montgomery County Public School District’s Office of General Counsel, examining issues related to school mask mandates, COVID-19 contract updates, and the Supreme Court’s impact on education. During her second year summer, she will work as a summer associate at Cozen O’Connor’s Washington, DC office. She spends her time currently working as a staff editor for Maryland Law Review, writing a note focused on consumer protections, and preparing for her upcoming internship with the Honorable Judge Zic in the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. Prior to law school, Katlyn attended Rowan University for her Bachelor’s degree and William Paterson University for her Master of Fine Arts degree. She was a writer and an Adjunct Professor of composition and literature at William Paterson University and Berkeley College. Issues witnessed in the education system drove her to pursue a legal career.
