11th Annual Health Law Regulatory & Compliance Competition

The Health Law Regulatory & Compliance Competition is a unique and innovative competition that challenges students to navigate through the complex regulatory landscape of health care law, including compliance with health care regulations and FDA law.

Call to Compete:

We are pleased to invite participants to compete virtually again in February 2022. The 11th Annual Health Law Regulatory & Compliance Competition will take place between February 18 and February 26, 2022. There is no cost to enter the competition. Prizes and additional details will be announced shortly. We look forward to hosting you!

Competition Registration:

The Intent to Compete Form 2022, will be due by 5PM on January 7, 2022. Please direct any questions to Rebecca Hall at r.hall@law.umaryland.edu.

About the Competition:

The Competition requires teams of 2-3 students to analyze a hypothetical fact pattern involving various interactions between health care stakeholders and entities participating in several health care activities that necessitate regulatory and compliance oversight. The fact pattern will implicate numerous health law practice areas and a variety of issues, including fraud and abuse and food and drug law. The fact pattern will be given to teams, who will have a short window in which to analyze the problem and present their findings and recommendations to a panel or panels of practicing regulatory and compliance attorneys. The winners and prize recipients will be announced during our virtual awards celebration on February 26, 2022.

If you would like more information about the Competition or have any additional questions, please email to Rebecca Hall, Managing Director of the Law & Health Care Program, at r.hall@law.umaryland.edu.
