Legal Profession Seminar

Prof. Noonberg’s offering covers the same material as is covered in the Legal Profession course, but does so in a seminar format. This seminar satisfies the requirement that students take and pass Legal Profession. Writing done for this seminar may be used to satisfy the Advanced Writing Requirement.

Mr. Noonberg served as national co-chair of DLAPiperRudnick's Professional Responsibility Function. In his seminar course emphasis will be placed on the professional responsibility issues facing law firms and the ethical responsibilities of the practicing lawyer.

Legal Profession examines the activities and responsibilities of the lawyer and the lawyer’s relationship with clients, the legal profession, the courts, and the public. The course treats the lawyer’s fiduciary duties to clients, the provision of adequate legal services, and the reconciliation of the lawyer’s obligation to clients, in and out of court, with the demands of the proper administration of justice and the public interest. The course, therefore, provides essential preparation for the practice of law.

Students may not take both Legal Profession Seminar and Legal Profession.

This course is not currently scheduled.
