Business and Financial Basics for Lawyers

This course provides introductory concepts in business and finance. It is intended for students who have no prior knowledge or experience in business or finance. Topics of coverage include basic concepts in accounting, financial statement analysis, time value of money, risk versus return, valuation, and financial instruments, including derivatives. Emphasis will be placed on legal application of these business concepts. This course may be useful preparation for practicing in a wide range of practice areas. Credit/No Credit only. No cert or Cardin.
