Charles A. Pipins II, also known as C.J., is the Associate Director of Public Services at the University of Baltimore School of Law, Law Library.
He was previously the Research and Academic Technology Librarian at the University of Maryland, Carey School of Law’s Thurgood Marshall Law Library, where he taught courses in legal research and in technology in the practice of law, and was also responsible for evaluating, implementing, and promoting technologies to support teaching and scholarly activities.
He has an M.A. in Information Resources and Library Science from The University of Arizona where he was a Law Library Fellow at the Daniel F. Cracchiolo Law Library. His J.D. is from New York Law School, and he has a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from Millikin University.
C.J. is a member of local, regional, and national Law Library Associations. He has served as Secretary and President of the Law Library Association of Maryland (LLAM) and on the executive board of the Southeastern Association of Law Libraries (SEAALL). He is also a member of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) where he is active in the Special Interest Sections devoted to Social Responsibilities, Academic Law Libraries, and Research Instruction and Patron Services.
