Lila N. Meadows is a staff attorney with the Gender Violence Clinic. Lila represents clients who have experienced gender violence in a broad array of legal matters, including parole hearings, protective orders, and custody disputes. Lila’s work primarily focuses on the intersection of criminalization and gender violence.
Before joining Maryland Carey Law, Lila was a clinical teaching fellow at the University of Baltimore School of Law in the Juvenile Justice Clinic where she helped start and manage the Maryland Juvenile Lifer Parole Representation Project. She has worked internationally on gender related legal and public health issues in Egypt, Malawi, and South Africa. Lila received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Franklin & Marshall College and her Masters of Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She earned her Juris Doctor from University of Maryland Carey School of Law where she was a student in the Gender Violence Clinic.
