Real Property Trusts and Estates Organization

The Real Property, Trusts, and Estates Organization (RPTE) was formed and recognized by the Student Bar Association in the spring of 2017. RPTE provides students with resources and connections in these respective fields.  It enables University of Maryland law students to engage with a variety of professionals, access educational resources and opportunities, and network with fellow students.

The organization, its officers, and committee chairs are all dedicated to providing extensive benefits to RPTE members each semester, including:

  1. Education on various aspects of real property, trusts and estates, including but not limited to: residential and commercial transactions through speaker presentations, panel discussions, and document drafting seminars;
  2. Networking opportunities with transactional and litigation attorneys working within the field of business and corporate law, as well as corporate counsel and local business persons;
  3. Development of the business law curriculum within the School of Law, including increased business class offerings and scheduling, to meet the needs of the ambitious business law student.
