The UMLD is a student organization that was founded in the fall of 2003 to address the absence of a law school group devoted to promoting democratic ideals in the law. Through speakers, voter registration, and meetings, the UMLD fosters a forum for debate, awareness, and activism. The UMLD strives to connect with other young Democrats in the Maryland area and to combine campaign efforts.
