Maryland Education Law Project


Founded in 2010, the Maryland Education Law Project (MELP) is a student-run organization dedicated to supporting law students who want to

  • Learn more about topics in education law
  • Contribute to the local school community
  • Gain professional development through internships in the field, and
  • Network with interested students, attorneys, and educators.

MELP strives to be an active participant in and contributor to the larger Maryland Law and Baltimore education communities by hosting special events like panel discussions and film series, organizing community service projects, and partnering with other student and community organizations with overlapping interests and objectives.
