Mediators Beyond Borders - Partnering for Peace & Reconciliation

Mediators Beyond Borders - Partnering for Peace & Reconciliation is a non-profit, humanitarian organization of skilled volunteer conflict resolution professionals established to partner with communities in troubled locations worldwide to support them to build their conflict resolution capacity for preventing, managing, resolving and healing from conflict. This partnership involves collaborating with local people on the design and implementation of sustainable peace building initiatives responsive to their needs, desires and cultures, and to the history of each conflict.

The main goal of our student chapter is to promote awareness of global issues specifically in regards to conflict between people of different cultures. We are in the process of adopting the MBB Ecuador Project which seeks to enhance the acceptance of and participation in mediation services in Ecuador. Recognizing the need for international and domestic collaboration, we work with other student groups to collect resources and supplies for a Law School in Liberia and the Refugee Youth Project in Baltimore. We also work closely with ADR and other organizations that share our vision of a sustainable world where people of different cultures and inclinations are appreciated and respected.
