*Deen Kaplan is currently a partner at Hogan & Hartson Washington Office and practices in the areas of international trade law and policy, customs/homeland security law, immigration law, and international arbitration. He represents a broad range of clients before U.S. federal agencies that regulate international trade matters. At this session, he will talk about his legal career in international trade, offer career advices to those students who are interested in summer/full-time positions in international trade law, and present a brief introduction to his course, International Trade Law Seminar, which will be offered in Spring at University of Maryland School of Law, co-lecturing by Craig Lewis, also a seasoned lawyer/partner from Hogan & Hartson LLP who specializes in trade remedies, international arbitration, and Customs Laws.
