The Business Law Society (BLS) was formed and recognized by the Student Bar Association in the spring of 2003 to fill a much needed gap in the available student organizations. BLS exists to provide networking, educational, and career opportunities in an encouraging environment, allowing University of Maryland law students to gain practical knowledge of areas of business law, to meet other students with similar interests, and to gain insight from practicing lawyers in all areas of business law.
BLS already has a substantial and growing, active membership, including members and editors of law journals, J.D./M.B.A. candidates, as well as current and former Student Bar Association and other student organization executive board members.
