The Alternative Dispute Resolution Group
The Alternative Dispute Resolution Group is dedicated to exploring alternative approaches to litigation, including mediation, negotiation and arbitration. The group is an official American Bar Association Section of Dispute Resolution Law School Chapter. For the past two years the group has sponsored a 40-hour mediation training session during winter break. In addition, the ADR Group sponsors training for University of Maryland teams to compete in the ABA Negotiation and Client Counseling competitions. Throughout the year, the ADR Group periodically sponsors speakers and activities to further educate the law school community in the field of alternative dispute resolution.
