Comments on WLE program:
While I greatly enjoyed my experience in the Women, Leadership and Equality Program, I did not truly appreciate at the time how valuable the experience eventually would be to me, my family and my career. Today, I am a mother of three children and I also relish the challenge of my work. I am immensely grateful for the historical perspective, skills and long-term relationships I gained from the WLE Program. WLE provided me with the firm foundation and confidence that has helped me find my own voice and style in developing a career that made sense for me and my family. There’s a lot of discussion today—whether it’s “leaning in,” “opting out” or “having it all”—about what it means to be a woman and a leader in today’s world. Paula Monopoli and Maryland Law, through WLE, are providing women with a fantastic platform to learn how to create their own paths in becoming future leaders. That’s incredibly encouraging.
